There are numerous online jobs for felons, providing them with an array of options to choose from. You can choose to find a company to work for or you can start your own small business offering online services.

Consider which jobs sound interesting to you and then explore them more to narrow down which one you’d like to pursue. These are only some of the options you can consider, but there is a good chance you will find something that interests you, giving you the ability to have an online job you can do from home.

Online Jobs for Felons

Graphic Artist – Take a look around and you will see all of the things that have been designed by a graphic artist. It’s something we tend to not pay much attention to, but it’s in all corners of our life. From business cards to logos and beyond, there are people behind all of the graphic images and designs that we see. If you have a flair for art or feel you could do this type of work, it is one of the great online jobs for felons. Working for yourself as a graphic artist, you would seek out clients to do work for. The average graphic artist earns over $52,000 per year. This is an online job you can do being self employed, or you can find places hiring that will allow you to work from a home office.

Sales – There are many people making a living from selling products online today. From creating your own line of t-shirts and bumper stickers to selling for other companies, there are plenty of opportunities available. You can have your own online store, or set up an eBay store. Some people specialize in selling something particular, such as vintage watches, car parts, or used clothing. Whatever it is that you are interested in you should be able to find a way to sell products online. You may have to invest in an inventory so you have things to sell, or you can do affiliate sales, where you are selling for others and earning a commission from every sale.

Marketing Pro – Most companies know they need to be online today, but they don’t know what to do once they have a website. Being able to offer marketing services to them gives you an online job that you can do from home. You will offer marketing services to all types of companies, helping them to reach their target market online. For this type of field you need to be familiar with using social media and placing online advertising campaigns. Independent marketing pros should be able to earn at least $40,000 per year online.

Blogger – There are millions of blogs online, and many of the bloggers are earning money from them. If you can write blog posts, or if you can create video blog posts, then you can have an online job making good money. Bloggers earn money from advertisers and companies that want to tap into their audience. The key is to create a loyal following and you will be able to earn money from your efforts. A blogger should be able to make at least $40,000 per year online once they establish a site and following. According to the government, the average blogger earns around $63,000 per year.

Web Developer – If you have some technical skills you can have an online job creating websites for companies. You would reach out to companies to get them to hire you to create a website for them, or to redesign their current one. The government reports that the average web designer earns around $74,000 per year. It’s a skill that is in demand one that you can learn on your own or with a few classes.

If you prefer to be employed by a company and have an online job you can do that as well. There are companies out there that will hire people to work online from home. One of those companies is Amazon. They routinely hire people to work from home and provide customer service for them. This would mean you would be employed by Amazon, but you would be able to work at home.

There are many online jobs for felons. Whether you want to be employed by a company or start your own and be self employed, there are options. Check the online help wanted ads to find companies that are hiring people to work online from home. The pandemic has changed the workplace, opening up the idea of online jobs in many different fields, and all around the country.
